I have studied various disciplines under the scope of environmental science, including Permaculture Design, Herbal Medicine, and the subject of my Bachelors of Science in Environmental Health & Wellness Management.
These studies have provided me with a perspective that informs and inspires the work I create. Conversely, the ability to see the natural world through the lense of an artist allows me to imagine connections and interrelationships between humans and nature that aren’t so obvious to others without a similar educational background.
Right now, this simply means that I am exploring the myriad ways that my work can demonstrate these intersections. I also want to find out how some of this work can come to life, literally and figuratively. Can it have function? Can it grow? How can art actively contribute to the regeneration that is so vital to the survival of species?
